Eid Awareness Campaign

Muslims are a hospitable and generous people, but they can also sometimes be reserved and aloof, especially the older generation. In an effort to showcase the positive traits of our community and to encourage integration in these pressing times, where Muslims are being marginalized, Eid Creations is spearheading an Eid awareness campaign through social media called #GiveEid. We are challenging muslim families to give gifts to their neighbors, coworkers, teachers, or anyone in their surroundings, by making it fun through contests related to gift-giving on Instagram.

This is how the campaign will work.

  1. Follow us @eidcreations on Instagram
  2. Take a photo/photos of anything relating to gift giving to people around you. You can give to people you do not know, if you dare, or any non-muslim friend, coworker, acquaintance. You can give homemade sweets or store bought, gift card, etc. There will be prizes awarded for best recipes, (if your momma allows you to share the family’s secret recipe), best packaging, or to most original photo or notes. Use your creativity!
  3. Hashtag #GiveEid
  4. Monitor our feed to see all of the great photos, ongoing contests, and winners announced!

Why #GiveEid and why now? Ask around you what Eid means, and you will see that there is no recognition of that term. For that reason and in order to spread the word in the society we live in, we would like your participation in the #GiveEid campaign. Please spread the word. Help us make headline news!
